Double Mat
- Cut the mat blanks using appropriate colors for the inner and outer mats. Cut outer mat blank to fit the frame. Cut the inner mat blank 1/2" smaller than the outer mat blank.
- Cut the outer mat first. Set the borders with the stop spacers rotated to the "0" position. The border settings will be smaller than the inner mat by an amount equal to the desired "reveal" of the inner mat. After the outer mat is cut, leave it clamped in place.
- Apply ATG tape to the outer edges on the face of the inner mat. Place the inner mat against the left and bottom hold down bars and press it firmly against the outer mat. Rotate the stop spacers to provide the desired reveal, 1=1/8", 2=1/4", 3=3/8", and 4=1/2". Cut the inner mat.
- Before you release the hold down make sure the centers drop out, You now have a completely assembled double mat with perfect spacing.
